inauguration day

I stayed home because I figured with traffic I would miss too much of the ceremonies-- plus I don't need to leave for my first school until 9:30. I'm watching CNN.
Washington looks amazing!
Lowlight of the morning-- dropped my iphone in the toilet as I walked into the bathroom. It's actually turned on right now, fighting the water, with just a little screen damage in the corner. And then every once in awhile, the screen gets all flashy and filled with lines and obviously broken.

I'm also checking out the twitter timeline. Yesterday, results would have 80-100 every couple minutes. Today, it takes 20 seconds to get 500-1000 tweets under the #inaug09 category.

Alright, going to listen to the speech now.

snow drifts

We have snow drifts! Sort of. It would be interesting to open any of the garage doors right now. My lights flickered-- I immediately plugged my iphone in. It's charged almost fully, but if I end up playing sim city for hours of entertainment in the dark, I need to make sure there's a full charge.
It's a tad windier now, from my armchair viewpoint. I went out and tried to make a snowman earlier. Snow is too light and doesn't stick. I used to hate that kind of snow when I was little.
Well, I'll get back to my DVR until I'm tired enough to sleep.

iLove iWant

This is a fun app that is pretty simple, just sets you up with basic icons to search for basic needs nearby. It's pretty accurate and has some good extras (the movie icon gets you theaters, and movie times. You could get the same stuff through googlemaps, but googlemaps is just not that great usually. Plus, it's FREE!!
